The area is relative untouristed. Zhaoping receives some visitors from Hong Kong and Taiwan, but few westerners.
I worked with an old friend, Chen Wen Gang, to modify a Guilin tour that will allow visitors to experience Zhaoping's villages and by-ways as I did in the autumn of 1998. This part of China is best experienced during the planting and harvest seasons of May and September.Day 1 Hong Kong – Guilin
Arrive Guilin by evening flight and transfer to four-star hotel
Day 2 Guilin – Zhaoping (B,L,D)
Guilin/Zhaoping by bus, touring the Huang Yao Old Town on the way
to Zhaoping City, stay in the Zhaoping Hotel (2-star).
Day 3 Zhaoping (B,L,D)
Experience the countryside life, visit with farmers and local government officials. Stay
at Zhaoping Hotel (two-star).
Day 4 Zhaoping – Guilin (B,L,D)
Zhaoping back to Guilin, tour in Guilin.
Day 5 Guilin (B,L,D)
Li River Cruise.
Day 6 Guilin – Hong Kong (B,L,-)
City tour in the morning. Leave Guilin to Hong Kong by afternoon flight.
